The Sandra Banner Student Award for Leadership (SBSAL) recognizes a medical student who has demonstrated an interest in and aptitude for leadership. The purpose of the award is to encourage the development of future leaders in medicine, through public recognition and financial support.
Up to $3,000 is provided to support this individual’s leadership activities, such as attendance at leadership conferences, formal leadership education, or a leadership elective.

What Happens Next?
The Student Affairs Committee will review and consider all student applications. Top scoring applications will be recommended to Drs. Tithecott and Rieder, who will then review the applications and write letters of support to accompany those applications chosen to go forward. You will receive notification of the response to your application by Monday November 30, 2015.
