Jona Szakacs, Dentistry Class of 2020, discovered his future career in dentistry during his time as a wildfire fighter in Western Canada. Now he's taking the lessons he learned in the field and applying them to the clinic and community outreach.
Soccer showdown
A charity soccer match brought medical and dental students together in September to raise funds for two local organizations. For lead organizers and brothers Jad and Rawad Serhan, the friendly rivalry is a familiar one.
Practical application
Farah Abu Sharkh, Dentistry Class of 2018, used her summer research experience to create an instructional series on dental freezing. She hopes to expand the project and make it available as a clinical resource for dental students.
