SWOMEN provides funding assistance for undergraduate medical students to participate in summer research projects/electives on topics of interest to rural physicians in Southwestern Ontario.

SWOMEN Conference Funding for Trainees

In addition to training opportunities in communities beyond the traditional academic health sciences centre, SWOMEN encourages undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees to develop their interests in rural medicine through participation at conferences focused on rural medicine and research. Compilations of Student Reports

We appreciate the reflective pieces and photographs that funding recipients submit after attending a conference. The submissions from participants in the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada's (SRPC) Annual Rural and Remote Medicine Course have been compiled into annual reports which can be viewed below.
