COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Click here to see map view of Leamington, OntarioIn 2006 MoneySense Magazine named Leamington the number one place to live in Canada. No wonder. Leamington is an affordable community of 30,000 with great weather and enviable community facilities.

Located only 40 minutes from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry's Windsor campus, Leamington serves as a regional centre providing financial, personal and commercial services for a large portion of Essex County. With excellent schools, and a broad range of municipal and social services, the community has everything you need to start a rewarding practice and raise a happy family.

The Municipality’s economy is diversified with its major strengths being in the agricultural sector. H.J. Heinz is, Leamington’s largest employer. However, agriculture goes beyond traditional farming to include the largest concentration of greenhouses in North America.

Leamington is known for its environmental uniqueness including rare Carolinian forests, endangered species, beautiful beaches, and the spectacle of the annual bird and butterfly migrations.

The cultural diversity of Leamington adds to its charm. Regardless of where you are you will be struck by the influences of our multiple cultures.
