CDA funds two pathology research projects

Friday, June 21, 2013

Two researchers in the Department of Pathology have been awarded operating grants from the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Congratulations to Subrata Chakrabarti whose submission “Pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy” will receive almost $275,000 over three years, and to Zia Khan on receiving just over $206,000 to study "Vascular stem cells in diabetic complications."

The CDA is a leading supporter of diabetes research in Canada. Since 1975, it has awarded more than $100 million in research grants and awards to scientists, who have dedicated themselves to helping us achieve the CDA mission: To lead the fight against diabetes by helping people with diabetes lead healthy lives while we work to find a cure.
