Dr. Donald Farquhar appointed Postgraduate Director of Wellness

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Donald Farquhar has been appointed as Postgraduate Director of Wellness, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry effective from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2017.

Dr. Farquhar obtained his MD in 1982, from Queen's University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Respirology at Western University. In 1993, he received an R. S. McLaughlin fellowship to complete a Master's degree in Health Policy and Management (Quality of Care) at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Farquhar is currently an attending physician in Internal Medicine and Respirology at the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London and is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Divisions of Internal Medicine and Respirology at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

Dr. Farquhar served as Chair of the Ontario Network of Educational Fellows in Care at the End of Life for the Associated Medical Services of Ontario until 2011, and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of General Internal Medicine. He received Western's University Student Council Honour Roll for Teaching (2010) and was a recipient of the Medical Advisory Committee's Award for Outstanding Contribution to LHSC (2007).
