Western Conference on Science Education - July 6-8, 2011

Thursday, March 10, 2011

The Western Conference on Science Education, to be held July 6-8, 2011, invites faculty and educational staff to venture beyond their traditional disciplines to learn about one another and collaborate on a range of scholarly approaches to improve post-secondary Science education.

The Conference, the first of a triennial series of national meetings, will offer a rare opportunity to join a national community of colleagues, from across the disciplines of Science, to share experiences, innovations, developing ideas, works in progress, and research related to teaching and learning in higher education.

The overall Conference theme for 2011 is 'Pulling Together,' which captures the two central organizing principles of the Conference:

1. A gathering of dedicated science educators from all the corners of Canada, no matter their discipline
2. A harnessing of this collective in service of the common goal of promoting exceptional post-secondary science education.
