Wednesday, February 2, 2011
Wednesday, Feb. 2 - 4:55 a.m. - The University of Western Ontario is open today, Wednesday, February 2. All employees should report to work today as scheduled and students should plan to attend classes.
While some snow was received overnight, indications now are that the storm is mostly south and east of London. Western's Physical Plant staff expect to have campus roads and sidewalks sanded and in good condition by 8 a.m. City road crews have been working through the night and roads should be in relatively good condition this morning. Drivers coming to campus from outside London are advised to take extra precaution.
The University is continuing to monitor the weather and will communicate updates on Western's homepage (www.uwo.ca), the University's official Facebook and Twitter sites, and via local radio stations. Updates are available at http://communications.uwo.ca/winter_storm/
The University of Windsor is also open today and classes for Schulich students in the Windsor Program are not affected by closures.
