New Associate Dean - Equity & Professionalism

Dr. Terri Paul has been appointed as the Associate Dean, Equity & Professionalism for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, effective September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2013.

As the Associate Dean, Equity & Professionalism, Dr. Paul will strive to promote equity, collegiality and professionalism within the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, in the broader context of the central university and the regional hospitals. Dr. Paul will be encouraging attention to equity and diversity issues, monitoring the processes of student admissions, recruitment and retention, and the promotion of faculty. She will be providing assistance/guidance/mentorship to individuals with respect to concerns in inappropriate encounters as well as supporting education and research initiatives related to equity and professionalism including in the fields of women's health and into the ways that gender and diversity issues affect health and health care.

Dr. Paul is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, with her clinical practice at St. Joseph's Health Care, London. She has been heavily involved in medical education and has been awarded the Schulich Educator Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Education as well as a Canadian Association for Medical Education Certificate of Merit. With a well established track record as an educator and an avid advocate for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Dr. Paul brings an exceptional skill set to the role of Associate Dean.
