Infection and Immunity Research Forum

The Third Annual Infection and Immunity Research Forum will be held on Friday, November 21. This is a one-day symposium that is organized and run by the graduate students of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. There is a student oral presentation competition in the morning, a poster session in the afternoon, as well there is a speech that will be given by the keynote speaker, Dr. Luis P. Villarreal, From University of California, Irvine, entitled "Sources of Self: Genetic parasites and the origins of adaptive immunity.

In the afternoon there is also a comprehensive career session, which will be given by four different speakers (Judith Tran, Dr. Topp, Dr. Brintnell, and Dr. Villarreal) all discussing their career paths, followed by round table questions. All of the talks will be happening at University Hospital in Auditorium A, and the poster session will be in Patios 2 and 3. All are welcome to attend the oral and poster presentations as well as the career session.
