New Chair of Ophthalmology

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. William Hodge and his family in London. Dr. Hodge is the new Chair, Department of Ophthalmology for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and City-Wide Chief of Ophthalmology for the London Health Sciences Centre & St. Joseph's Health Care.

Dr. Hodge did his medical training and ophthalmology residency at McGill University. He then did a fellowship and a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of California San Francisco before returning to McGill to complete his PhD. The University of Ottawa Eye Institute has been home to Dr. Hodge for the last twelve years.

Past President of the external evaluation committee for eye research for FRSQ in the province of Quebec, CIHR clinical research scientific office in 2007, and currently secretary of the Royal College Test Committee in Ophthalmology, Dr. Hodge brings a strong academic and administrative background to his new role as Chair/Chief.

Dr. Hodge's office will be located at SJHC Room A4-025, office extension 66210. We welcome Dr. Hodge and his family to our Community.
