Research Update Group

Starting in the Academic Year 2015, the Research Interest Group is replaced by the Research Update Group (RUG).

This group meets once a month (2nd Thursday, 12:00 to 1:15 pm) in room B8-131, VH. PGY 1 to 4 are expected to attend this group and it provides them a forum to present research ideas and updates for discussion and to receive feedback. Active researchers within the Department are also invited to present their work. The Group provides residents with an opportunity to learn about research going on within the Department and link up with research mentors.

Here is the schedule for 2015-16. Supervisors are urged to attend the meetings when their residents are presenting.

Faculty presenters are urged to include:

a) story of their personal journey in research (in order to inspire the residents)

b) a summary of ongoing projects relevant to clinical psychiatry

c) a list of research opportunities for residents’ involvement.

Faculty members interested in presenting at the RUG are welcome to contact Dr Kamini Vasudev.
