London Health Research Day - Feature Presentations

LHRD

London Health Research Day is the largest research day of its kind in Ontario. Each year, more than 700 people attend this event. Together, participants represent health science labs from across the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Robarts Research Institute, Lawson Health Research Institute, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. The day includes poster and platform presentations and informative workshops.

This year the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine had two PhD candidates selected to give their feature presentations.  Alice Shin gave her talk on the “Role of Doublecortin‐like kinase 1 (Dclk1) positive tuft cells in colitis‐associated colorectal cancer” in salon D and Kara Ruicci spoke about “TAM receptors activate P90RSK/mTORC1 signalling to mediate acquired resistance to PI3K inhibition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma” in salon E.
