Distinguished Visiting Professor - Dr. Konstantina Stankovic

Dr. Stankovic is a board-certified ear and skull base surgeon and a Ph.D.-trained auditory neuroscientist. Her medical education includes a medical degree from Harvard Medical School (magna cum laude), an internship in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, a residency in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in neurotology—skull base surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School.

Her scientific training includes bachelor degrees in physics and in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Ph.D. degree in auditory neuroscience from MIT, and post-doctoral training in molecular neuroscience at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital.


Distinguished Guest Alumnus - Dr. Shamir Chandarana

Dr. Chandarana completed Medical School and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency training at Western University in London, Ontario. He then pursued a 2-year fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Michigan. Concurrently he also completed a Masters in Public Health. In 2010, Shamir joined the section of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery at the University of Calgary and is a core member of the Head and Neck Surgery Program. He enjoys a busy practice focused on head and neck cancer surgery, thyroid/parathyroid surgery and reconstructive surgery. His research interests include clinical outcomes in head and neck surgery, biomarker research and epidemiology of thyroid cancer surgery.
