Integrating Physician Services in the Home (IPSITH)

Nurse and patient

Integrating Physician Services in the Home (IPSITH) is a pilot project providing treatment in the home for patients with acute illness. For a short period, up to two weeks, patients who otherwise would have been admitted or been required to remain in hospital receive care from a community team consisting of home care staff, case managers, a nurse practitioner, and the patient's family physician.
