Lecture Series in Refugee Health – Adult Refugee Mental Health

Join us for a lecture series in refugee health, featuring a presentations by Dr. Mohamad Elfakhani on Adult Refugee Mental Health, Wednesday, June 14 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine (Room 1150), 1465 Richmond Street.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To discuss an approach to mental health concerns in refugee patients.
  2. To review an approach to the individual with a history of trauma.
  3. To review cultural idioms of distress in the Syrian population.

 

25% interactive will be included.

This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry for up to 2.25 Mainpro+ credits. Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent participating in the educational program.
