Grand Rounds: Tuberculosis: Not a disease of the past - TB in Canada and Middlesex London

Join us Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for Family Medicine Grand Rounds in the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine Building, Room 1150.

Dr. Ian Arra and Ms. Bernadette Garrity, RN, will present, "Tuberculosis: Not a disease of the past - TB in Canada and Middlesex London."

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the session you will:

  1. Have an overview of the epidemiology of TB in Canada and Middlesex London
  2. Understand the diagnosis of latent and active TB
  3. Understand the role of Public Health in tuberculosis and active TB case management
  4. Appreciate through case studies, the complex nature of active TB cases (e.g. MDR, Health care worker with TB
