Family Medicine Grand Rounds

Join us for the Family Medicine Grand Rounds on Wednesday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m. at the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine, Room 1150.

Dr. Merrick Zwarenstein, Director, Centre for Studies in Family Medicine, will present “Changing family physician practice using knowledge translation interventions: 4 randomized trials of printed educational materials in Ontario.”

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of today’s Grand Rounds participants will be able to describe:

1. a range of knowledge translation interventions that have been attempted to increase evidence based practice
2. the design of these large randomized controlled trials
3. the development process for printed educational materials
4. the lack of effect of printed educational materials on physician practices and patient outcomes

This program meets the accreditation criteria of The College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited by Continuing Professional Development, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, for up to 1 Mainpro-M1 credit.

Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent participating in the educational program.
