Congratulations Emaad Mohammad!

Emaad Mohammad is an Epidemiology and Biostatistics Honors Specialization student (currently in year 5 as he finishes a Minor in French) and his research has been getting some notice.

His submission “The Effect of Statin Medication on Exercise Capacity in Cardiac Rehabilitation: A Retrospective Cohort Study” was selected as a Highly Commended Entrant in the Medical Sciences category of The Undergraduate Awards Programme 2017.

Undergraduate-Award-Winners_Emaad_250.jpgEmaad travelled to the UA Global Summit 2017, an invitation-only event that gathered 150 of our Highly Commended Entrants and Global Winners in Dublin, Ireland this past November.

YouTube Video highlights of the event are online.

Earlier this year he was also selected to present, "Association of Statin Medication with Exercise Capacity Change in Cardiac Rehabilitation: A Retrospective Cohort Study", to the Canadian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (CACPR) conference at the 2017 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) in Vancouver, BC, this fall.

Emaad worked on his fourth year research project with Dr. Neville Suskin and Dr. Neil Klar.

We are very excited to share the news of his success.
