The Town of Wingham, along with the village of Blyth and the former township of East Wawanosh, constitute the Township of North Huron. The township has a population of 4,984 and is located about one and a half hours north of London.

Agriculture and industry are supported by excellent schools, recreational facilities and a busy municipal airport. Hospital Information

The Wingham and District Hospital as part of the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance is a modern, progressive acute care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, paediatric, chronic and rehabilitation bed and other services, including 24-hour emergency coverage. Hospital services include:

  • Modern emergency department with 24-hour on-call coverage
  • Rehabilitation department including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology and social services
