Welcome to the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario.  At Schulich Dentistry we believe that a sound dental education includes not only didactic and clinical teaching and research, but also a sense of social responsibility for our fellow Canadians.

If you are thinking about applying to dental school, think about Schulich Dentistry.  As a student you will be taught by world renowned dental specialists and researchers.  You will experience many traditions that we celebrate: the White Coat Ceremony, Fall Awards Reception, and Spring Awards Luncheon and Convocation.  The tradition continues upon graduation - - Homecoming and the Alumni of Distinction Reception, ODA Alumni Reception and alumni dinners hosted throughout the year across Canada.

Schulich Dentistry is fortunate to have an active student dental society that organizes a number of programs with the aim of educating the community.  Community dentistry outreach programs designed and implemented by students build dental awareness about oral health and hygiene to children and seniors.  I am proud to say that all of our students are highly knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, ethical and sensitive to the needs of their patients.

In order to stay competitive with the growing demands of technology, teaching, research, and service to our communities, Schulich Dentistry has been undergoing significant renovations over the past couple of years.  Completed renovations include a new multi-functional disciplinary clinic, Endodontic suite, and state-of-the-art operatories and equipment in our main clinic.  In addition, for our students we have renovated the locker rooms and student lounge.

Through the generosity of our alumni and with support of our Dean, Michael Strong, we are completing these initiatives so that we can provide the best education to our students and optimal care to our patients.
