gracelandXian remarks, "I had a great time at the Hinman Student Research Symposium in Memphis, TN. It was awesome to meet so many other dental students from all over North America and present my research project, hear about their dental research and their dental school lives. We had the chance to explore the city of Memphis which was full of history, blues music, and fried chicken/BBQ ribs that were just indescribably delicious. Overall, it was a great experience where I had the opportunity to learn about current dental research in North America and it highlighted the importance of research for the future of dentistry."

The Hinman Student Research Symposium is a national meeting featuring presentations of research studies undertaken by dental students and graduate trainees from dental schools across North America. The goal of this symposium is to help raise and maintain the quality of dental research and education by encouraging participation of dental students, graduate trainees and dental school faculty in research to improve oral health care.
