CME Accreditation
As an Accredited Provider, we can approve applications for continuing education credits for up-coming courses that fulfill College requirements, including:
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Maincert (Section1) course study credits for Group Learning Activities
- College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Mainpro-M1 course credits [for CME Events, Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs]

Provision of sample documentation, policies and guidelines:
- Document templates (Certificate of Attendance, Evaluation tools for Participants & Speakers, Participant Lists, Budget worksheets)
- Guidelines on writing effective learning objectives
- Internal CME Policies (Faculty Disclosure, Pharmaceutical Support, Use of Western Imprimatur)
- External Guidelines governing CME events (CMA Policy)
- Opportunity for co-branding with Western on event brochure and program materials
- Notification to CFPC and/or RCPSC of application approval
- Web site posting of event name, dates and contact information
- Co-ordination of opportunites for joint mailing to target groups on cost-sharing basis
How to Apply for CME Course Credits
- Determine your target audience

Fill out the appropriate applicaton forms(s):
- Use the "MAINPRO-MI Application form" to obtain credits for courses that will be attended by family physicians;
- Use the "Maintenance Certification (Section1) Application Form" to obtain credits for specialists;
- Both applications should be submitted for courses that will be attended by both family physicians and specialists
- Send the application form and all required supporting documents to Continuing Professional Development (see Contact Us for details or click here)
