Medicine Class of 2018 - Welcome to the family

More than 100 people gathered to celebrate the start of a new academic year at the annual Windsor Program Meet and Greet this month. The atrium of the Medical Education Building was buzzing with energy and excitement.

Gerry Cooper, associate dean, welcomed students, faculty, staff and special guests, extending a special greeting to the Class of 2018.

University of Windsor President Alan Wildeman also shared his well wishes for the upcoming academic year and encouraged students to seek out opportunities in the wider Windsor community.

Dr. Mark Awuku, assistant dean, Faculty and Governmental Affairs, thanked the Windsor Program faculty for “working tirelessly to provide first-class medical training.”

Yousif Atwan, VP Windsor for the Hippocratic Council, capped off the evening’s speeches by highlighting the diversity of the Windsor community and the new students. “Each and every one of you brings something unique to the table,” he said.
