Message from Erica Hoe - VP Windsor, Hippocratic Council 2013-14

The past few months have brought with them a number of exciting events for faculty, staff and students. The annual Windsor Program Awards of Excellence ceremony was held at the Caboto Club in April, where students and staff celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2014, and recognized notable faculty, staff and students who have contributed to the School. It was a great opportunity to celebrate each other’s accomplishments.

During the spring, several student-run events were also held. The Spring Talent Show was held at the Green Bean Café, featuring a number of talented student acts. The May Integration Weekend was held in Windsor. We welcomed our London friends into the city with a trip to the Detroit Zoo, a theatre production, a baseball game in Detroit, and lunch on Erie Street. That same weekend, we also had our Spring Formal at 29 & Park with a masquerade theme. The students loved picking out their brightly colored masks and the pictures turned out great! It was a fun-filled weekend, and even the weather was cooperative; it felt like summertime was just around the corner. A big thank-you to members of the student council who made this weekend possible!

The spring season also means that successful applicants have been accepted into our Windsor Program family as the incoming Class of 2018. The Orientation Week team has already begun to plan for their arrival in September with events held in both London and Windsor. We look forward to meeting the new class!

This will be my last newsletter as the VP Windsor Hippocratic Council. Yousif Atwan from the Class of 2017 is the incoming VP Windsor. I am sure he will keep you informed and entertained!

Cheers,
Erica
