Dr. Mark Awuku, Assistant Dean, Faculty & Governmental Affairs

Another academic year is coming to an end and I had the pleasure of attending the MD Convocation ceremony for our 2014 graduating class. It was very gratifying to see our students at the end of their Schulich Medicine experience and the beginning of the next stage in their careers. The ceremony was memorable as usual. I would like to encourage more of our Windsor faculty to consider attending these ceremonies in future years. All faculty members are invited to participate. You, the faculty, have made the Windsor Program a success  and should join in the celebrations.

I made another recent trip to London to attend the Schulich Medicine & Dentistry Celebration of Excellence event. Our own Windsor Program Manager, Nicole Sbrocca, was honoured with a well-deserved Dean’s Award of Excellence for Staff for all the hard work she has done in moving the Windsor program forward. It is of note that Nicole has been with the Windsor program for less than one year. Hats off to you, Nicole!

Thank you to all our faculty for completing another successful year. I wish you all a great and enjoyable summer.
