2010 - 2011 Centre Colloquia Program

Continuining our mandate for fostering an interdisciplinary community of education research that engages the faculties of medicine, health sciences, and education at UWO, the Centre for Education Research & Innovation is proud to announce the final Centre Colloquium of the 2010-2011 academic year.

For those of you who attended this year's Centre Colloquia, thank you for making our Fall & Winter gatherings the most successful Centre events. Fall's group discussion surrounded Interdisciplinary Research Supervision. Faculty, staff, and graduate students from across the Centre community showed up to participate. Winter's presentations on Knowledge Translation offered a wide variety of examples for researchers seeking to crystalize their data for more general dissemination. We were pleased to welcome former Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Dean Carol Herbert to join the conversation.

What matters to you on May 17, 2011?

For both of this year's Centre Colloquia we invited our community members to submit their ideas for topics they felt were important to education research in medicine and the health professions. We at the Centre wish to thank those of you who have submitted your ideas, and we invite you to again give us your feedback on potential topics for our final Centre Colloquium of the year.

Past suggestions include Hidden Cirriculums, Admissions, Participatory Education, Research Design, and Aesthetics. What do you think of these suggestions? Do you have a preference, or perhaps a new topic to share? We want you to decide! Please share your insights as comments to this post. We’ll leave our comments too. Our team will decide the Spring 2011 Centre Colloquium based on your feedback.
