CERI Master Class on Writing Research for Publication
Sunday, May 31 to Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Enhance your scholarly writing by attending this intensive 2½ day course in beautiful Bayfield, Ontario!
Located approximately one hour northwest of London and three hours west of Toronto, this relaxed and picturesque community on the eastern shore of Lake Huron will provide participants with a unique opportunity to step away from day-to-day distractions, focus on writing and be inspired by new surroundings.
The course will commence 3:00 p.m. Sunday and conclude 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. Participants should expect to be available days and evenings throughout this time period to fully participate in facilitated learning modules as well as self-directed writing sessions.
The Master Class on Writing Research for Publication is offered jointly by the Centre for Education Research & Innovation (CERI) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Who Should Attend
Participants from a range of research backgrounds (eg. health professions education, health sciences research, social sciences research, education) are welcome.
Each participant should have personal experience trying to get their work published, i.e. should have written at least one manuscript in recent past and submitted it to a journal, although it does not have to have been accepted.
Participants will maximize their learning if they bring an in-progress manuscript to work on during the Master Class.
The course will not focus on English as a Second Language (ESL) writing challenges.
How To Attend

i) a writing sample (approx 3,000 words) of a research manuscript, in-progress or recently completed
ii) summary CV (max 2 pages) highlighting your recent publication history, including abstracts.
All applications will be reviewed by the Master Class Selection Committee. Successful applicants will be contacted on or by Monday, April 20 with an invitation to attend and a link to register online. To confirm attendance, invitees will be required to register online, with payment, by Friday, April 24.
To ensure the best student experience, enrollment will be limited to 25 participants.
