The department of Medical Biophysics would like to congratulate four of our own 2015 In-Course Scholarship and Award winners! The award winners are as follows:

A description of each award can be found below: 

Alan C. Burton Course Prize in Medical Biophysics 
Awarded to the full-time student who receives the highest average (80% minimum) in Medical Biophysics 3302E and 3303E combined (note: an average on the following 5 "new" courses was used: Medical Biophysics 3501F, 3503G, 3505F, 3507G, 3970Z)

Dr. G. E. Hall Scholarship 
Awarded to a student with the highest average in third year, who is entering fourth year of an Honors Specialization (preferred) offered by the Departments of Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics, Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmacology and Toxicology and Physiology, or a double Major in an Honors degree which includes one or more of these subjects.

Richard Konrad Scholarship in Science 
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student in year 3 or year 4 in the Faculty of Science based on academic excellence (minimum 80% overall average). Preference will be given to students in the Honors Specialization in Medical Biophysics (primary preference) or Physiology (secondary preference). This scholarship was established through Foundation Western by Richard Konrad.

Reinhard Konrad Memorial Award in Science 
Awarded to full-time undergraduate students in Year 3 or 4 of a BSc degree program in the Faculty of Science based on a minimum 70% average and financial need. Preference will be given to students pursuing an Honors Specialization in Medical Biophysics (primary preference) or Physiology (secondary preference). Applications can be accessed online through Student Center and must be submitted by September 30. The Faculty of Science will select the recipients in consultation with the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. These awards were established by Richard Konrad, in memory of his father Reinhard Konrad, through Foundation Western.
