University of Windsor President Alan Wildeman to step down effective June 2018
University of Windsor President and Vice Chancellor Alan Wildeman announced late last week that he will be stepping down from his position in June of 2018.
His announcement came as part of the annual State of the University address at the University of Windsor, and he said that it is the right time for renewal to occur.
Wildeman began his appointment in 2008, the same year that Schulich Medicine & Dentistry’s Windsor Campus was established. During his tenure, Wildeman has been a strong supporter of the program. He and Western University President Amit Chakma renewed the operating agreement between the two schools in the spring of 2016.
The Board of Governors at the University of Windsor will immediately begin the process to undertake a search for the next President and Vice-chancellor.
