Schulich Medicine & Dentistry receives ASPIRE Award of Excellence for Student Engagement

ASPIRE Award presentation in Glasgow, Scotland

The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry’s Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program received the 2015 ASPIRE Award of Excellence for Student Engagement in a Medical School.

This international award recognizes the School’s commitment to student engagement and the valuable role students play in shaping teaching and learning experiences within the UME program.

The ASPIRE award program is sponsored by the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), a worldwide organization promoting international excellence in education in the health care professions.

A delegation from the School accepted the award in Glasgow, Scotland on September 7 at the annual AMEE conference, including Dr. Bertha Garcia, Dr. Michael Rieder and Han Yan, Medicine Class of 2017.
