Dr. Victor Han, Director of Children’s Health Research Institute and Professor in the Departments of Paediatrics, Biochemistry and Anatomy and Cell Biology at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, was chosen by the Fanshawe College Board of Governors as an Honorary Diploma recipient during the College's spring 2015 convocation.

The Honorary Diploma recognizes Dr. Han’s unique and outstanding impact on a local, provincial and national level, and his work that has enriched the lives and careers of Fanshawe’s students and alumni.

"This is a great honour for me, my family and my clinical and research teams at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St. Joseph’s Health Care London (SJHC),” Dr. Han said.

He added that the Diploma is also a recognition of the success of the advanced care programs that were established in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at SJHC in the past decade and now at Children's Hospital at LHSC, in which Fanshawe graduates from Health Sciences and Human Services Faculty are providing advanced care in resuscitation, critical care and transport.

During Dr. Han’s address to the graduates from Fanshawe’s School of Health Sciences, he recognized the College’s graduates who are saving babies’ lives every day.

“On behalf of all the babies and families who are now healthy and happy children and adults, I would like to thank Fanshawe College for the training and graduating of such skillful professionals,” he said.

Fanshawe President Peter Devlin was proud to present Dr. Han with his Honorary Diploma at the convocation ceremony on Wednesday, June 24.
