Bill Green is Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education and Strategic Research Professor in the Research Institute for Professional Practice, Learning and Education (RIPPLE) at Charles Sturt University, NSW, Australia. His research interests range across curriculum inquiry, literacy studies, doctoral research education, and education for rural-regional sustainability. His most recent work in this context is in the area of practice theory and philosophy. In 2009, he edited the RIPPLE volume Understanding and Researching Professional Practice(Sense).

The School of Nursing at Fanshawe College is sponsoring a two-day phenomenology workshop with Dr. Patricia Munhall on Tuesday April 26th and Wednesday April 27th, 2011. Nursing, Health Sciences and Human Services faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. Registration is free but space is limited. A new Fellowship being sponsored by the AMOSO Opportunities Fund is poised to change the way we support Clinician-Education-Researchers at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Over the next three years, the Centre for Education Research & Innovation will be able to provide four clinical faculty members with the opportunity to participate in a fellowship consisting of protected time, training and mentorship as they take the next step in their careers as Education-Researchers. Two fellowships were awrded in Spring 2010 and we are now seeking applicants for the remaining 2 fellowships to begin in Winter 2011. Financial assistance is available to protect them for a minimum of one day per week over a two year period. Applications for the fellowship are due by no later than October 15th 2010.
